Dick McFarlane was born and raised in Sauk City and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School.
He and his wife Marilyn have four children and ten grandchildren who provide lots of opportunities to support their musical and athletic activities.
He received a B.S. from UW-Stout and a M.Div. from Canadian Theological Seminary. Dick and his family helped to plant a church in Madison which is now called New Beginnings Alliance Church.
In 1985 he returned to McFarlane Mfg. Co., Inc. to work in the farm equipment sales department and eventually become part owner of the third-generation family business.
Dick has been involved in the community serving in many elected and volunteer positions with GraceWay Evangelical Free Church, Sauk Prairie Optimist Club, Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce, Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board and Midwest Equipment Dealers Association. He is currently on the board of directors for the Savanna Institute.
Marilyn volunteers her time and energy at 6:8 Making Service Personal - Circles Sauk Prairie, which works to end poverty in the community.
