Urgent Care Wait Times Long, Consider Alternatives

Cold and flu season is upon us, and we’re seeing considerably longer-than-normal wait times in Urgent Care at Sauk Prairie Hospital; wait times can exceed 1 to 2 hours.
If your symptoms are not life-threatening, instead of going to Urgent Care, consider these other options
- Call or send a portal message to your primary care provider.
- Check with your insurance plan to see if they offer a telehealth or nurse on call option.
If the above options aren’t available to you, we’re happy to treat you in Urgent Care. However, please know that patients are seen based on severity of illness or injury, and your wait time may be long. We ask for your patience.
